Statutory Declaration（法定声明-律师/公证员）

 

法定申明：指个人在律师、公证员的见证下的法律声明。比如改名、未婚声明、婚姻关系结束、护照信息真实、原件申明、文件遗失等。

Common reasons people make a statutory declaration include-

Changing their name
Confirming they are free to marry
Confirming a previous marriage is now dissolved
Confirming their own identity with passport information
Confirming a document is an exact copy of the original
Confirming a legal document has been lost
