This new Criminal Record Certificate (Police Clearance Certificate) can be requested from the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Courthouse in Rome, because there is a national database, so yo do not need to request it from the Procura of the city where you were born or you lived. It is valid for six months from the date of issue, and has the same cost as the old ones. In fact, fees to be paid at the Procura della Repubblica for the certificate amount to:
€ 3.87 certificate fee
€ 16 stamps
€ 3.87 urgency fee (if you want to collect your certificate immediately)
Therefore, if you want to go on your own to the Procura della Repubblica and collect your certificate the same or the following day of the request you will have to pay € 23.74.
